Stone Mountain Park Purchases Land
Share this post by emailCurtis Branscome, C.E.O. of the Stone Mountain Memorial Association (SMMA) stated that in a joint meeting of the Finance and Development Committees on February 15,2010 that the capital budget and cash flow forecast were reviewed and this review clearly demonstrated that purchasing this 52 acres of property at 6826 James B. Rivers Memorial Drive will still leave SMMA with at least $5 million or more in cash after the purchase. The committees also reviewed the MAI appraisal for the property which is in excess of the purchase price for the property. The committees agreed that SMMA should proceed with the purchase of the property and a resolution authorizing the purchase has been prepared. Mr. Branscome read the purchase option for the record. The motion and the resolution was approved unanimously.
The property is currently the location for the Forrest Hills Baptist Church and Forrest Hills Christian School.

I wonder how Silver Dollar City will ruin this piece of property.
