The 2030 Gwinnett County Unified Plan, a policy guide to be used by county officials for future land use, community development and transportation decisions, is due to be submitted to the Board of Commissioners by year’s end. The unified plan replaces what were once three separate plans required by federal and state laws - the comprehensive, the consolidated and the comprehensive transportation plan. Once approved by the Board of Commissioners, the plan will be submitted to the Atlanta Regional Commission, the planning and intergovernmental coordination agency for the 10-county metropolitan area.

A public information session will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Mountain Park Activity Building. For additional information, call the planning division at 678-518-6200.
