MPAA Senior League All-Stars
Share this post by emailThis is Sam Chambers I am the Manager of the MPAA Senior League all-star team. This past Monday July 14th our young men became Georgia State Champions in dramatic fashion. In the bottom of the 7th inning our team was down 7-4 with 2 outs and 2 men on base, a young man was able to keep a birthday promise to his sister by hitting a homerun and send the game into extra innings. In the bottom of the 8th inning one of my 19yr old players was able to extend his youth baseball career by hitting a 3 run walk off homerun to win the Georgia State Championship. We have now changed our name from Parkview to “Parkview - Team Georgia”. We will be heading to the World Series this Friday July 25th being held in Dyersburg, Tenn. As you can imagine, this will be at a tremendous monetary expense. We have collected many donations from individuals and businesses in the Parkview community, but we are still in need of support. The Waffle House on the corner of Indian Trail and Hwy 29 in Lilburn has offered to help. Beginning this Sunday July 20th and going through Thursday July 24th between the e hours of 2pm - 9pm Waffle house will give our team 10% of all sales!! This is a tremendous opportunity for our team to earn enough money to pay for all of our expenses for the World Series. I am asking everyone who can to please visit Waffle House during this time and help us go to the World Series to represent the Parkview community and the state of Georgia!
Thank you for supporting these young men!

Sam Chambers has reported that the MPAA Senior League All-Star Team won its first game against North Carolina 5-0 in the Dixie Majors (Ages 15 – 19) League World Series. Sam mentioned that North Carolina beat last year’s World Series Champions to make it to this year’s play-offs. Their next game will be Sunday at 4:00pm.
