Greetings Mountain Park Patrons:

I wanted to notify you of several vehicle break-ins that we have had at the park this past spring. The MPAA board is working in conjunction with the Gwinnett County Park police and the local police precinct to try to catch the perpetrators and to prevent this criminal activity in the future. Hopefully, you will start to see an increased presence of uniform officers patrolling the park. If so, please thank them for their assistance. There are very few park police, and we must share them with all the other parks. We also need your assistance as well. Please be mindful when leaving your vehicle: lock your doors and do not leave your wallet or purse visible. Also, do not leave other valuable items such as cell phones, IPods, lap top computers, etc. visible. It is recommended that you place these items in your trunk before you get to the park. Most of these break-ins have been crimes of opportunity as the doors of the vehicle were either unlocked or valuable items were left out in the open.

Finally, please report any suspicious activity immediately by calling 911.

Thanks!

Chris Whitlock,
President MPAA (Mountain Park Athletic Association)
